PFOOD, HOSPITALITY, FARMING We wish to bring approximately ______ (unlimited number) of persons drawn from our employees, clients and our family and friends to the Awards Presentation at the Australian Business & IT Expo, Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Southbank, Melbourne at 2:30pm on Saturday 16th August.

We will all receive Free Entry to the events including the co-located Baby Boomer Lifestyle Expo and enjoy Free Food and Wine Tastings prior to and following the Award Presentation at no cost.

Your Free Entry tickets will be emailed to you along with an acknowledgement that your Awards Entry form has been received at our office for judging.

PLEASE NOTE: AWARD ENTRIES WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED BY POST.

 
 

How to enter the awards

Conditions of entry

  • Your business is operated from a home-base.
  • Entries must be received by post by Friday 1st August 2008.
  • There is no cost involved in entering the awards or attending the awards ceremony and related shows if you have a Free Entry Voucher which will provide Free Entry for you and your unlimited number of guests. The Free Entry Vouchers will be emailed to you.

Procedure

  • On separate paper, answer each of the five questions listed below. Put the question and the corresponding number at the beginning of each response.
  • You have a maximum of 1000 words in total to answer all the questions (i.e. around half an A4 page per question.)
  • You may include an index, testimonials, photos etc to support your application as long as your total submission does not exceed 10 x A4 pages
  • Do not include CD's, DVD's; videos etc. Web sites will only be viewed if the business is a totally web based business
  • Select the category that most suits the nature of your business by ticking the relevant box on the entry form. If you are unsure of the relevant category place a question mark in the box you think best suits your business and JPG Media will select the relevant category for you informing you of their decision by email.
  • Entries will not be returned.
  • Attach the Entry Form to the front page of your submission.
  • It would be preferable that you are able to receive your award at the Awards ceremony. Category Finalists will be notified on the Monday in advance of the Awards ceremony. 
  • Send you entry form and submission in an envelope to JPG Media Pty Ltd., Att: AHBBA Department, G.P.O. Box 4205, Melbourne 3001. by Friday 1st August 2008.

1. Describe your business, why you chose that business and your vision for the future.
2. Describe your customers, what you do to satisfy them and how you measure their satisfaction.
3. Describe a successful marketing strategy implemented in your business.
4. Describe a problem you have overcome because your business is a home-based business.
5. Describe two achievements which have contributed to the growth of your business.
